Resource Development
Create practical, inclusive resources that are accessible, community-informed and ready to be used.
Whether you need a staff-facing guide, a community toolkit or a campaign handout, I can help you create resources that are clear, accessible and aligned with your organisation’s values. My approach combines strategic messaging with inclusive design and lived experience of disability.
These resources are more than just documents. They are tools for communication, empowerment and connection.
Okay, but what do I mean by Resource Development?
Good question! But, it’s all in the name really - I help your organisation or business by making resources.
This service supports you to design and create resources that are easy to understand, easy to use and made with access in mind. Whether the audience is your staff, clients or community, the goal is the same — useful, inclusive content that gets the job done.
I can create new resources from scratch, co-develop them with your team or community, or review and improve existing materials.
I can support you to:
Plan or scope your next resource
Draft or edit content for clarity and inclusion
Provide accessibility advice or apply formatting improvements
Design alternative versions like Easy Read or large print
Develop templates or guidelines your team can use again and again and again
What I can help you create
You can choose to focus on one area, multiple areas, or a mix and match based on your needs. This guide is more just to help you understand what can be included
-
Create onboarding documents, staff checklists, training manuals or HR resources that are easy to follow and inclusive for your whole team.
-
Develop clear, respectful and useful tools in plain language that support clients, participants or the wider community to understand services, processes, or information they need to know. I can synthesise complex information, including legislation and jargon-filled topics in a way that ensures everyone can understand. Includes factsheets, how-to guides and information packs.
-
Design public-facing materials that support your campaign, event or launch. I can help with messaging, format and accessibility so your impact is greater. I take into account your strategy (or work with you to develop one), and ensure that the communications produced enhance the work you are doing.
-
Support your audience by creating versions that are simplified, easier to navigate and meet a range of communication needs. I can write or guide production of resources, and support the development of translated resources into Easy Read and Auslan.
-
Build your team’s capacity by developing templates for reports, workshop tools or presentations. These are designed to be used again with consistency and access in mind.
