Co-Design Development
Create meaningful, collaborative projects that centre disabled people and community voices from the start.
Co-design means doing things with people, not for them. It is a process that centres lived experience and brings the right people into the room at the right time. I help organisations plan and deliver co-design processes that are ethical, accessible and practical to implement.
Whether you are developing a new policy, resource, campaign or service model, I can support you to do it alongside the people who will be impacted by it.
Okay, but
what is
Co-Design?
For more information about Co-Design check out the Victorian Government’s Webpage here.
Good question! Co-design is a structured process of working in partnership with community members, stakeholders or people with lived experience to shape a project. It is more than consultation. It means sharing decision-making, building trust and creating outcomes that reflect real needs.
This service helps you:
Design co-design processes that are meaningful and doable
Identify who to involve and how to reach them
Build access and inclusion into every step
Facilitate workshops or community sessions
Analyse feedback and bring it into decision-making
It is ideal for projects where community voice is essential and where you want to shift power, not just gather opinions.
You don’t need to know where to start, or what to do next, that’s what I’m here for.
What Co-Design can include
Co-design is flexible, but having the right structure matters. Here are the key elements I can support you with to make sure your process is inclusive, effective and respectful.
-
Support to scope your co-design process clearly, define goals and set up safeguards that protect participants and create transparency.
-
Advice on how to engage and recruit people with disability and other priority groups with care. Includes templates, EOI forms and briefings.
-
Co-designed workshop structures that suit your audience, access needs and decision-making goals. Many Co-Design techniques are not accessible for all, but my work ensures everyone in your community can engage fully. I can also facilitate or support session delivery.
-
Help turning insights into themes, actions and priorities. I can support your reporting, communications or presentations to decision-makers.
-
Guidance on budgeting for participant payment, food, transport, Auslan, Easy Read and other access needs so everyone can contribute fully.
